00:15The election campaign in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is continuing.
00:20Preparations are all over the town.
00:22Here we find ourselves in the western part of the capital city of Caracas, in the park Ali Primera.
00:29And here are some stands organized for the citizens of Venezuela
00:35who are being informed about how to vote.
00:38This is called a so-called electoral fair, if you wish,
00:43and we have here the responsible person for this.
00:50We take your fingerprints and then you pass to the electoral machine.
00:53The screen will show the candidates.
01:00The parties that are in our Venezuelan electoral system.
01:03You press on the face of the candidate or the party of your preference.
01:07Wait, press vote.
01:15Take your voucher or ballot, introduce it in the polling box and well, that is the process.
01:20And we have here the protection of the military personnel.
01:24According to the National Election Council, there are 81 different stands in the capital district.
01:30All over Venezuela, the number is 976.
01:34The council publishes the addresses of each of them to the public.
01:40And then we give them this brochure, which shows how simple and transparent our elections are,
01:46with our candidates and information about our fair.
01:50Escalante explains that if the citizen has made his or her mind up already politically,
01:56the entire voting process takes approximately 25 seconds only.
02:01She adds that citizens show great interest.
02:05People of different ages come here daily, as from 18 years old,
02:09and we show them how the process in itself works.
02:12We are here all day long and for approximately another 15 days.
02:17As you see, the process is quite transparent.
02:20It includes the electronic part and the paper part.
02:24It is known as one of the most progressive systems in all of Latin America.
02:29And citizens are being here taught how it works,
02:33what they have to do on July 28 to cast their votes in the presidential elections in Venezuela.
