00:00And obviously, you know, we've discussed Liverpool's transfer situation. Quite quiet in terms of
00:06bringing people in. Is it more of a case of ensuring people are back from international duty
00:10and then reassessing after that? Is there any sort of idea of when Liverpool could make
00:16some transfer moves this summer? Yeah, well, the new Sports Director, Richard Hughes, who was
00:22up on the press conference arm of slots at Scotstown, he said that he expects a quiet July
00:27just because the Euros and the Copa America as well are going on, and even the Olympics he
00:32mentioned, you know, so there's free tournaments, a lot of football, and he said that he expects
00:37August to be busier. I think, and I think to say, Adam Slott's probably coming in and he's
00:44looking at his squad and thinking, what do I need? Where do I need to strengthen? Because
00:50although he's been brought in, you know, he plays a similar style to JĂŒrgen Klopp,
00:55he's not a JĂŒrgen Klopp 2.0, and he might have other ideas himself. For example, he was asked
01:00about Kody Gakko, what's his best position? He's obviously been fantastic at the Euros for
01:05Holland, playing on the left wing, and he's mainly played as a striker, and all right,
01:09Slott didn't give too much away, but when Kody Gakko's my first choice left winger, we'll say,
01:16what does that mean for Luis Diaz then? So Liverpool look to maybe offload Luis Diaz,
01:21and then he looks to go and get another player in X or Y position. So I think as the players
01:27come back slowly, he'll be assessing that, maybe assessing what other fringe players can
01:32maybe be sold to top up his transfer kitty. But yeah, Richard Hughes said that Liverpool are
01:38going to be opportunistic in the transfer window. Obviously, that Anthony Gordon one,
01:43you can see that one being a prime example of opportunistic, where Newcastle come to Liverpool
01:49and says, well, do you want to buy Anthony Gordon? Because we've got financial struggles,
01:52and we might have to sell him. Liverpool thought, yeah, well, definitely, we'll try and take that.
01:57So there might be maybe gaps in windows that come up, where players maybe look like he's going to
02:05go to one club and then negotiate at a store, and Liverpool might think, right, let's go and get
02:08him. Or again, if Liverpool have got their eyes on someone, and I think maybe he might be quite
02:14ready, but another team want to go and get him this summer, well, right, we need to go and get
02:18him now, because we might not get the chance next year. So yeah, it'll be an interesting one. I
02:23don't think it's going to be absolutely chaotic in August. There's not going to be a flurry of
02:27signs, but I think maybe that's when we're going to see the business stop.
