It's not often that female basketballers get invited to take part in a foreign based league. However, that dream is about to come true for a local group of female basketballers. This country will be sending a group of excited young female basketballers to take part in the JC Pro Classic Basketball League in New York at the end of the month. The basketballers are part of the FEM-B.A. program and apart from wanting to win the title, they are also hoping to attract the eyes of scouts.

01:31Yes, I am.
01:32They were willing to play on a wet court in Enterprise, using these sponges to soak up
01:36the water, but it could not dry their passion.
01:39Well, as the time draws near, the women behind me are putting in the final touches before
01:44they leave for New York.
01:45It's a competition where they're hoping to expand their dreams and now they're willing

02:05Borough Corporation and the mayor that play a big part of it as well to make sure they
02:09have this to move them further to what they need to accomplish and this is what I am here
02:15for, to serve and to see how best we can bring the community.
02:18Also knowing there are females basketballers and this is the contribution they will be
02:24giving back to the community, so this is a start.
02:27So how are you assisting?
02:28Well, we assist financially for the visa applications and they received it today, so I'm happy that
02:36they have this start to move forward.

02:43tall in uncharted territory.
