00:17found that eating more ultra-processed foods is associated with a higher risk of memory
00:22and thinking problems, as well as stroke.
00:25Some examples of these foods are soft drinks, salty snacks like chips, hamburgers, and ice cream.
00:31Experts say these foods are high in added sugar, fat, and salt, while also being low in protein and fiber.
00:38Researchers looked at more than 30,000 adults, aged 45 and older,
00:42who were followed for 11 years on average.
