00:15free me. LaBeouf is not currently in custody, but the actor faces two charges of simple battery,
00:21with a hearing scheduled for March 19th. New Orleans news station WGNO shared this footage
00:26of the actor dancing after his release and holding his jail release paperwork in his mouth.
00:30The New Orleans Police Department released a statement following the Transformers actor's
00:35arrest that said, a man identified as 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was reportedly causing a disturbance
00:40and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business. Once removed from the building,
00:45the victim reported being struck by LaBeouf, who used his closed fists on the victim several times.
00:50The incident took place at Arbar, where an Arbar staff member attempted to eject LaBeouf
00:55from the premises after he tried to, quote, be a celebrity bartender and was asked to leave.
01:00The establishment's doorman said LaBeouf was in an inebriated state and somewhat belligerent.
01:05He was also without cash or a shirt, putting the latter back on when he was told to.
01:09The arrest comes after LaBeouf, who recently claimed to be sober and blamed past abusive
01:14behavior on alcoholism, went on an extended weekend bar crawl during Mardi Gras in New Orleans,
01:19according to employees of various drinking establishments.
