00:00A bus carrying 19 passengers plunged into a 50-metre ravine in Lahaddatu on Thursday

00:11The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said when its personnel arrived at the scene along
00:16Jalan Silam at 9.40pm, 13 passengers, including two foreign tourists, had already climbed
00:22out of the bus.
00:24They said they then attended to the bus driver and five other injured passengers.
00:29Initial investigation revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle before it skidded
00:33off the road and plunged into the ravine.
00:37The 32-seater bus, which was believed to be travelling from Semporna to Kota Kinabalu,
00:42landed on its side.
00:44The injured victims were sent to the nearby district hospital for further treatment.
00:49The operation ended at 11.30pm.
00:53The incident caused a major traffic congestion along Jalan Silam and surrounding areas.
