00:00All right, folks, David is back working on a little chip, a little pitch shot here that
00:10I probably don't use often enough.
00:12Most people don't use often enough.
00:14It's a little bit different from a normal chip, and if you practice it, you get pretty
00:18comfortable with it.
00:19I think it takes a lot of the air, a lot of the possible horrific shots that a lot of
00:23us hit around the green kind of out of it.
00:25And what you do, you stand closer to the ball, move it off your back foot and you get that
00:29shaft almost vertical, or at least a lot more vertical than you usually do.
00:34Almost have just a toe down, and then you just kind of pop the ball like it's a putting
00:37stroke.
00:38I've got my 60 degree wedge here, and as you can see, not doing anything crazy, not a lot
00:42of hands, not a lot of fanciness going on here, not a lot of manipulation of the club
00:47face, just kind of popping it like a putting stroke.
00:50Comes out kind of nice.
00:51A little bit of a, I mean, for the most part, this is a straightforward little pitch.
00:55The only problem is if you go a couple feet by, this is a practice green, catches a ridge
00:59and it rolls quite a ways away.
01:01But it's a fantastic shot to kind of try, and we're trying to always get better and
01:05less worse, basically.
01:06So we're trying it.
