00:08 Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuzia Saleh issued this warning today,

00:13 after confirming that towing firms and concrete producers are ineligible for diesel subsidies.

00:18 Earlier, FMT reported that vehicle towing companies and concrete producers

00:22 had raised their prices since yesterday,

00:24 following the hike in the price of diesel to RM3.35 per litre from RM2.15.

00:30 Hardware store Chuan Soon Heng Sindiran Berhad had also issued a notice

00:34 informing customers of an increase in prices, citing a 25% hike in trucking charges.

00:40 Fuzia said if the companies raise their prices exorbitantly,

00:44 her ministry will take action under the Price Control and Anti-Profit-Taring Act for profit-taring.

00:49 However, the Deputy Minister said tow trucks or mixer trucks

00:52 that use prime mover truck heads are eligible for subsidies.
