Everton players featuring at Euro 2024: Pickford and Branthwaite hoping for England’s success whilst Onana looking to improve Belgium’s major tournament form

As a number of Everton players will be on display at the European Championships this summer, Evertonians will be keeping an eye on their representatives and hoping they return to Goodison with a lot more to give for next season.

00:00In terms of the European Championships for Everton, you know, a fair few representatives

00:08there. You know, you spoke about the prize assets in Onana and Brantway. Is this a sort

00:13of tournament they should see as a chance to really break through? I know they've had

00:16a bit of a tough time, really, at Everton this season again, but it's a real chance

00:21for them to shine on the international stage?

00:23Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I was in Onana. You've seen them play against England in the

00:28last international break. Against Belgium, he was fantastic. And, understandably, Everton

00:33fans are thinking, well, why can't we see that on week in, week out? Because he has

00:36got talent. We've seen him, you know, dominate some games. You know, it's Sean's first game

00:42in charge, the 1-0 win against Arsenal last season. He was toes of force in the middle

00:48of the park, but there just hasn't been that consistency. And as someone who has said he'd

00:52like to go and play for a big club, you want to go and see him do it consistently. Grab

00:56games by the scruff of the neck. But he'll be looking to do that for Belgium. Maybe Everton

01:02will be looking for him to do that. I think, well, if he has a good Euros, his price tag

01:06will increase. And Jared Bramfoort, you know, I still don't think he gets enough credit

01:11for the season he's had. He's been absolutely immense. He really, really has. Fantastic

01:17breakthrough campaign. He's just got better and better. And if he isn't on the plane,

01:24it would be a real, real... I don't know. It would be a disservice to him, to be honest with you.

01:33You know, he's been ever-present pretty much all season. When he's been fit, he didn't

01:38start the first three games. He's been magnificent. You know, won Everton's Player of the Year

01:45and Young Player of the Year, understandably, because he's been that good. And Jordan Pickford

01:50obviously, he's going to be in goal for England. He's won Everton Player of the Year this season.

01:58That's three seasons in a row now that Jordan Pickford has won it. And maybe he's finally

02:01starting to get the credit that he deserves from the outside, because Everton fans have

02:06known how good he is. You know, he's matured. Every goalkeeper still makes a mistake. But

02:13for England, has he done a lot wrong? Absolutely not. He's been fantastic for England over

02:18the past few years, from the World Cup to the Euros. And yeah, Everton fans again will

02:25be hoping he has a big Euros, just to prove everyone wrong, really, basically. You see,

02:30look, we've been telling you this all along, pretty much. So it'll be interesting. And

02:34then Vitaly Mikhalenko hopefully can be fit for the Ukraine. Disappointing one for Nathan

02:40Paterson, who hasn't been included in the Scotland squad because of his hamstring injury,

02:45which is a blow for him. I think maybe he knew that when he suffered his hamstring injury.

02:50He had surgery after the Chelsea defeat. But yeah, plenty for Everton fans to keep their

02:56eyes on over the summer.
