00:37 he urged relevant organizations, including Mara, to actively promote the pursuit of education in
00:43 China among Malaysian students. Ahmad Zahid emphasized Shanghai as an ideal location for
00:49 students to gain knowledge, citing the city's remarkable growth and political determination
00:54 over the past three decades. According to the Higher Education Ministry, 5,697 Malaysians are
01:01 currently studying in China, with 1,425 in Beijing, 933 in Zhejiang, 735 in Fujian, and 626 in Shanghai.
01:11 This visit marks Ahmad Zahid's first official trip to China since taking office in December 2022.
01:18 The 11-day visit, which began on May 22, was initiated at the invitation of Chinese Vice
01:24 Premier Ding Shuixiang. Malaysia and China established diplomatic relations on May 31,
01:30 1974, and this is the highest level of visits involving top leaders
