00:14For nearly 20 years, she has worked in China's logistics industry, from container shipping and
00:20digital freight platforms to autonomous trucking. Today, she works with Full Truck Alliance and
00:26its autonomous driving subsidiary, Giga AI, helping connect new technology with real-world
00:33transportation needs.
00:35I studied transportation and logistics at Southeast University. Then I built my entire career
00:42around this area. I started out at the container shipping business. And now I'm with Full Truck
00:49Alliance, China's largest digital freight platform, working specifically in marketing division
00:55at Giga AI, which is a group's autonomous driving subsidiary.
01:01Her connection with logistics started before she entered the industry. Growing up in the
01:07countryside, Xu saw how transportation could directly affect people's lives.
01:12I saw ripe peaches rot in orchards because there was no way to ship them out. Then roads came,
01:20trucks came, watching those fruits leave, and seeing a farmer smile again. That stayed with me.
01:28That was the first time I understood logistics can change lives.
01:33Years later, Xu saw another transformation coming. This time, it was driven by artificial intelligence.
01:41Seeing a fully loaded heavy truck drive itself feels like a glimpse of the future. We want to bring
01:51them more safety, dignity, and relief from that burden.
01:56But bringing autonomous trucks onto real roads involves more than developing technology.
02:01It also requires coordination between companies, regulators, and industry partners.
02:07Early on, long-haul autonomous trucking was brand new, and local regulations differed. Getting a single
02:15route approved meant endless back-and-forth and multi-party reviews. The pressure was massive,
02:21but that's exactly why we pushed through someone had to be the first to chart the path for the industry.
02:27A great example of this is our first alpha demo on the I-17 Suta Expressway during the 29th ITS
02:36World Congress.
02:37It succeeded because local authorities provided both the testing permits and the foresight to rapidly deploy
02:46roadside perception infrastructure. For Xu, the project showed the Roshi place behind the scenes.
