00:00 And welcome in Matt Lutovsky.
00:04 Matt Lutovsky from the Sporting News here to help us cover the NBA.
00:08 And Matt, that game expected to be tight last night.
00:12 It was anything but.
00:13 Where the T-Wolves blow the doors off the Nuggets to force a game 7-1, 15-70 was the
00:20 final.
00:21 A massive win for the T-Wolves.
00:23 Anthony Edwards, 27 points.
00:26 Jaden McDaniels with 21.
00:28 But Mike Conley's return really seemed to be the key for the T-Wolves.
00:33 Anthony Edwards and many of the players and coaches were discussing his impact on the
00:38 court last night.
00:39 And clearly, Conley's ability to distribute and take some of the pressure off of Edwards
00:44 made him and the team far more efficient offensively.
00:47 Yeah, definitely.
00:50 And Anthony Edwards said that right after the game too.
00:53 He was asked this press conference, what was the difference?
00:55 He said, we got Mike Conley back.
00:57 And there's no doubt that whatever Conley adds with his scoring, his three-point shooting
01:02 is almost sort of a bonus.
01:05 But like you said, he is the distributor.
01:07 He's the quarterback of the offense.
01:08 I just think for a team like that, there's a sense of relief when they look over and
01:13 they see Mike Conley on the court.
01:15 And he's a little bit smarter defensively, even if he isn't quite as big or quite as
01:20 athletic as some of the other guys they can play in that spot.
01:23 And he just knows what to do.
01:25 He just knows where to go.
01:26 He knows where to get people the ball to put them in position.
01:29 So his return was without question huge.
01:34 Did anyone think that was going to meet it?
01:35 They were going to win by 45?
01:36 I don't think so.
01:38 So there was clearly more going on than just that.
01:41 Starting with Denver missing shots that they've been making the past three games.
01:46 And Jaden McDaniels finally joining the series on the offense event.
01:50 But what I thought was interesting too for the Wolves is Carl Anthony Towns didn't do
01:55 much offensively.
01:56 10 points, didn't make a three.
01:58 This wasn't one of those games where every guy on the Wolves was getting their shots.
02:02 No one on the Nuggets was hitting their shots.
02:04 It was, I mean, no one on the Nuggets really hit their shots except for Nikola Jokic and
02:10 Aaron Gordon a little bit.
02:11 But the Wolves, I think, still have another level to go to offensively, at least in terms
02:18 of consistency from all their shooters and all their scores.
02:22 So this really sets up a fascinating game seven.
02:25 We've seen a little bit of everything in this series.
02:28 Wolves blowouts, Nuggets blowouts, some close games where one of the teams pulled away late.
02:33 And it really feels like anything can happen in this game seven.
02:36 And I think it's going to be a real, real treat for fans.
02:39 Yeah, we'll see that one Sunday night.
02:42 The Nuggets favored by four and a half at home with a total of 198.
02:47 They dropped two games, one by 26, one by 45.
02:51 So some curious performances out of the Nuggets in this series.
02:55 And we'll look forward to that game seven.
02:57 The only game seven really in our world right now, although others may be happening on the
03:02 court and on the ice.
