00:00 Who would you say won the Met Gala carpet? Tyla or Zendaya?
00:04 We're breaking down which stars and brands dominated the Met Gala on today's special
00:08 Red Carpet Power Rankings edition of THR Charts The Breakdown for Thursday, May 16th.
00:13 The Hollywood Reporter partnered with Launch Metrics to calculate the earned exposure data
00:17 for luxury fashion brands and the stars who wore them at the 2024 Met Gala.
00:22 Here's how it works. The Launch Metrics Media Impact Value, aka MIV algorithm,
00:27 assigns a monetary value to every post, social media interaction,
00:31 and editorial story to determine a brand's influence.
00:34 Starting with the top 5 women, Tyla in Balmain claimed the number one spot,
00:38 followed by Zendaya in Maison Margiela at number two, Ali Abbot in Sabasachi came in third,
00:44 Kendall Jenner in Givenchy was number four, and Zendaya in Givenchy, her second look of the night,
00:49 rounded out the top five. Add the earned exposure from both books worn by Zendaya,
00:53 and it was clear she won the night.
00:55 As for the men, Stray Kids and Tommy Hilfiger topped the list,
00:59 followed by Bad Bunny in Maison Margiela at number two,
01:02 Chris Hemsworth and Tom Ford came in third, Barry Keoghan in Burberry was number four,
01:07 and Sam Smith in Christian Cowan was fifth.
01:09 Given this, Maison Margiela claimed the number one spot on the list of top 10 fashion brands.
01:14 Thanks for watching this special Red Carpet Power Rankings edition of THR Charts The Breakdown.
