Police were called at 5.58am on Thursday, May 16 to reports of a child having fallen from height at New City Road, Plaistow.

00:05were called at 5.58am on Thursday May 16th to reports of a child having fallen from height
00:13at New City Road in Plastow. Officers, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service and
00:20London's Air Ambulance attended the scene. There, a six-year-old boy had fallen from
00:26an upper floor of an apartment block. The Evening Standard reported that the incident
00:31happened at Jacob's house. Despite the efforts of emergency services,
00:37the boy sadly died at the scene. His family are aware and are being supported. The death
00:43is being treated as unexpected and enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances.
00:50A Met Police spokesman said their thoughts are with the child's family at this time.
