00:00 Daniel Curtin gets his first taste of an AFL captains run at Adelaide Oval.
00:07 Debut in a showdown is a pretty big event. It's been done a number of times too. So we
00:13 hope it's a really positive one for him. Adelaide's top draft pick from last year
00:17 has been made to wait after impressing in the reserves. Matthew Nick's confident the
00:22 young defender can handle the pressure of a showdown.
00:24 We don't expect him to come out and dominate a showdown in his first game. But we feel
00:29 that he's ready mentally and physically to play in a game at this level.
00:34 Luke Pedler won't be at the level with a shoulder injury, but Nick's is hopeful his season's
00:39 not over. We've got a fair bit still to work through
00:41 there from a risk point of view and more so looking at the scans in more detail.
00:46 Port Adelaide's double down on Connor Rosey, Ken Hinckley confirming he'll play the Crows,
00:51 just six days after suffering a hamstring injury. We wouldn't take an unnecessary risk.
00:56 Now there's always a risk with any injury to a hamstring of any type. So the challenge
01:02 with that is whenever they play there's always going to be a little bit of a risk.
01:06 Jeremy Finlayson will be in the squad after serving his three match ban for a homophobic
01:11 slur. I think he's ready emotionally to take on
01:14 the next part of that challenge and that's something he's just got to have to work through
01:17 and we'll support him all the way through that. Hinckley says Finlayson has done all
01:21 he can to educate himself and get back to playing football.
