00:26The co-founder of Pay Our Respects, an event honouring women murdered in Australia,
00:31is one of 5,000 people whose voices informed the Royal Commission.
00:36She says it's crucial people with lived experience are front of mind as the government begins implementing the recommendations,
00:44among them independent monitoring.
00:47We consider that the Ombudsman is a perfect implementation and impact monitor.
00:52Why? Because they're already existing.
00:56That could be actioned immediately.
00:58That would be a really strong commitment from the government to say, you know, we are all about being accountable.
