We need more than words now we need action’: CEO of DV NSW

After watching politicians speak during the national rallies against violence, CEO of Domestic Violence NSW Delia Donovan says they now need to follow-up with action and funding. In an interview on the ABC 7.30 Report, she says the spike in domestic and family violence is a national crisis.  Support is available for those who may be distressed. 00:00 What we're seeing right now is a huge spike in domestic and family violence

00:03 and we've seen these terrible murders across Australia

00:06 and this is a national crisis and we need to start treating it as such.

00:10 We have a national plan and the national plan is thorough

00:14 but it's only thorough if it's implemented.

00:17 We need to be ensuring with the national plan we look at the how,

00:20 we look at the implementation, we look at the monitoring of it,

00:23 we look at the accountability of that national plan.

00:25 A moment in our lives where we actually saw political leaders marching,

00:29 the next step is action.
