FKF boss refutes claims women's football faces uncertain future

00:00 This is not just being done for the FKF Premier League.

00:04 This is now also going to be done for the National Super League.

00:09 And more importantly now, for our Women's Premier League clubs.

00:14 Which as you know, we are one of the top nations in women's football now.

00:20 And we are moving that drive in men to women

00:25 because women's football is the single highest growing area of sport in the world.

00:32 And so we want to make sure that those clubs begin to be run in a professional way.

00:37 We are introducing them this year.

00:39 So we make sure whoever wins also has a structure.

00:42 This is about ensuring the club does the right thing.

00:45 This is about ensuring the club has the right people.

00:48 The club is run professionally.

00:50 So if we do that with women, it's going to take a couple of years to do it at the level of men.

00:55 But we see a lot of potential there.

00:58 We think that if you do it and do it well, this is going to be big.

01:03 And I'm looking forward in the couple of years to ensure that this is done properly.

01:08 I'm keen to see in the next three years, four years, what will happen.

01:12 I was talking about stadium and home matches being played in the next couple of years.

01:20 When this stadium finishes being developed, I think every club will play in a big stadium.

01:26 And that will change a lot of things.

01:29 And those strategies ensure that our game grows, the clubs grow.

01:35 You have seen now some clubs are even able to sell players outside the country

01:40 because of the work we've been doing and how now youth is involved.
