Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki on Wednesday said the government needs innovative ideas and resources to register millions of Kenyans for Social Health Insurance.

00:00We need to be deliberate out there and say we are going to have the ministry having a drive to register chiefs.

00:07I have to go to the village and tell them today I'm giving you relief food.

00:11When they come for relief food I say register first.

00:15I also have to do many other things that maybe can bring people together.

00:19And in the process I get them registered. That costs money.

00:23You can't go just call them. Our people are very difficult my friend.

00:27Just go out there and say I have a meeting tomorrow to register Shah.

00:31No one will come. But tell them I have a meeting where I'm giving some goodies from the government.

00:36They will be there. All of them.

00:39Well goodies cannot be sweet. The ministry understands that.

00:43So we need resources. Deliberate to be able to make people come together and register within the shortest time possible.
