00:00 My name is Richard, I work here at the RSPCA Chesterfield and I'll try and discuss a couple of cats we've got available for adoption at the minute.
00:08 The first is Mika, who's a domestic short hair, 8 years old. Her background's a bit of a blank slate at the minute.
00:16 She's finding things a little bit tough in terms of acclimatising but she's very sweet, very quiet and she's looking for a home which is likewise really.
00:26 Nothing too rambunctious, just a nice steady home where she can settle and just make a lovely, lovely cat.
00:34 The second cat we have available for adoption is Hilda. She again is a domestic short hair but she's slightly older at 12 years old.
00:42 She's also an awful lot more forward and forthcoming when it comes to strangers and new people.
00:47 She very quickly makes you aware that she wants fuss, wants affection, wants contact in any which way it comes.
00:54 She's been an absolute pleasure to work with. Her background unfortunately is difficult.
01:01 She was found abandoned in a cardboard box so we don't know what went on prior to that but I think it's safe to say it was not ideal.
01:08 But to be fair to her, she bears no scars, bears no ill will. She loves everyone equally and with an open heart.
