00:09 a great Easter break. And talking of Easter, that's exactly where we're starting because

00:13 on Monday 1st April sees the return of Preston's famous annual egg rolling event at Abenham

00:19 and Miller Park. Egg rolling is a big Easter tradition going back over 150 years and that

00:24 takes place in Preston every Easter Monday. Every Easter brings a different programme

00:29 of events including a traditional Easter bonnet making workshops and competitions. But you

00:33 must be sure to bring your own Easter egg and roll it down the hill with hundreds of

00:37 other people. It's a free event and you can join all the fun between 11 and 4pm.

00:43 Punk meets poetry next as Dr John Cooper-Clark celebrates his 75th year at the Winter Gardens

00:48 in Blackpool on Wednesday 3rd April. His 1980s poetry collection Ten Years in an Open Neck

00:53 Shirt featured the lyrics to classic tracks from his albums and more. He's one of the

00:58 UK's biggest selling poetry collections of all time. Since then his career has spanned

01:03 cultures, audiences, art forms and continents. Today he performs purely as a stand-up solo

01:09 poet. His unique poetry show has been touring worldwide for over 15 years. Tickets for that

01:14 one are priced at £29. Comedy at the Chorley Theatre next after an

01:19 incredible breakout year. The multi-viral social media sensation and star of Netflix

01:24 The Circle and host of Very British Problems Live and Bad Manners podcast Tom Horton sets

01:30 out to be his biggest and most hilarious show yet. In an age where tradition and progress

01:35 are wrestling against each other, what are the parts of ourselves that need shredding

01:39 and what is worth holding on to? It's a clever, passionate and soulful show. It's on the 5th

01:44 April and tickets for that one are £16.50. One for the very young now, Clay Time is a

01:50 play with clay and the audience are invited to participate. Come to a place where the

01:54 earth's natural material meets with children's imaginations. A world of fabulous forms, amazing

01:59 animals and morphing monsters. Each Clay Time is totally unique, creating its own world,

02:05 its own characters and its own stories, drawn directly from its young audience. A truly

02:10 interactive theatre and it's most engaging. The show is made with and for 3 to 7 year

02:16 olds. It's two shows at the Duke's Theatre in Lancaster on 6th April. Tickets are £10

02:23 each.

02:24 Finally this week, live music as the Blow Monkeys make an appearance at the Burnley

02:28 Mechanics Theatre on the 6th April. After a career spanning over 40 years, the band

02:32 are always making new music, always stretching their own musical boundaries. With worldwide

02:37 hits such as classics digging your scene, and It Doesn't Have to Be This Way, they

02:42 became household names. Back in the 80s they worked with people as varied as Curtis Mayfield,

02:46 Paul Weller and you can see them live for £27.
