00:00Hello and welcome to another edition of 5 things to do, and we're well into the swing

00:09of July now so there's plenty happening. For example, did you know that Ormskirk has

00:13its very own Gingerbread Festival? To celebrate the town's links with the baked treats,

00:17the centre will come alive with all things gingerbread. The family-friendly festival

00:21will take place on Sunday July 14th between 10 and 4, with a whole host of activities.

00:27Thousands of visitors are expected to join the festivities, which include live entertainment,

00:32heritage and gingerbread-themed stalls and children's craft activities. Ormskirk's

00:36cafes, bars and shops and restaurants will also embrace the theme with a special menu

00:40of items, offers and promotions. What's not to like about that one? Next, to

00:46the Lancaster Grand Theatre for Girls' Night Out. As seen on the BBC, brace yourself for

00:51this award-winning smash hit with the comedy girl band that's leaving a trail of sequins

01:00Enjoy a night to remember filled with laughter and audacity. Imagine Sex and the City teams

01:05up with the Spice Girls. That's on Thursday July 11th and tickets are priced from £23.

01:11Now here's a colourful event in Blackpool. The Trinity Hospice Colour Run is back and

01:15it's an event which sees participants run, jog or walk a three kilometre route along

01:19Stargate Beach. Along the way they'll pass through seven coloured paint stations, getting

01:24covered head to toe in bright powdered paint. On crossing the finish line all participants

01:28will receive a bespoke Blackpool Colour Run medal. All ladies are welcome to take part

01:33in the Blackpool Colour Run. Every pack includes a pouch of powder paint, a medal, a unique

01:37participant number and an event information leaflet and sponsorship form. That'll cost

01:42you £12.50 per person. One for the kids next as we head to the Atkinson

01:47Theatre in Southport to meet Zog and the Flying Doctors. Zog's a super keen student turned

01:52air ambulance still lounds with a bit of a bump. Together with his Flying Doctor crew,

01:57Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout they tend to a sunburned mermaid, a unicorn with one

02:02too many horns and a lion with the flu. It's based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Schaeffler's

02:07best selling sequel and it's most suitable for ages three and above but all are welcome.

02:12It's on Tuesday and Wednesday the 9th and 10th of July and tickets are £14 each.

02:18Lastly it's back up north to Morecambe where from the 11th to the 14th of July brings the

02:22return of a well-loved event. The Morecambe Music Festival has gone from strength to strength

02:26and across the whole weekend around 175 acts will perform across 35 venues. The thousands

02:33who descend on Morecambe to watch the festival will be able to enjoy rock, pop, soul, country,

02:37hip-hop, reggae, indie, ska, punk, Irish music, acoustic, DJs, tribute acts, ukulele and even

02:43a sea shanty crew. There's so much going on in so many clubs, cafes, hotels and other venues
