00:00 Well today those storms have worked their way east and we are looking at a threat for severe weather in the Midwest too
00:07 And we are joined now by storm chaser Aaron Jay Jack who is in New Bayden, Illinois
00:12 Aaron what have you been seeing?
00:15 I'm just on the east side of st. Louis right along I-64 and right now I'm seeing lightning in all directions
00:24 We just had quite a few severe storms come through the st. Louis area both to the north into the south
00:29 Those the strongest storms are now moving off to the east of st. Louis still a little bit of rain and a little bit of
00:36 Thunder in the st. Louis area, but I looks to be a st
00:40 Louis is pretty much and out of the woods now as far as severe weather
00:43 Things are starting to track off to the east
00:46 But I am seeing quite a bit of lightning still off to my east
00:49 The strongest storms now moved to the east of my location here in New Bayden along I-64
00:55 And what will you be doing as you continue to watch these storms and follow them through the night?
00:59 I'm still tracking these storms and watching them on radar. You can see the lightnings going up behind me
01:06 So there is still severe storms that are gonna cause trouble to the east along the interstate line of I-64 corridor
01:12 You know, it's not a good night to be driving out there
01:15 I just drove through a shelf cloud and once I got through the inside of the storm
01:19 It was heavy rain heavy strong winds and hail dropping down cars are pulling off the interstate
01:25 So not a good night to be on I-64 across, Indiana and especially in Ohio
01:29 I'm seeing multiple storms out in Ohio that have been producing tornadoes this evening
01:34 All right. Thank you Aaron and that is exactly what we're going to be covering some of this storm threat, which is fairly extensive
01:40 Across the nation. So we do want to continue with our coverage which shows you some of these thunderstorms
01:47 I'll put on the lightning just briefly so you can see that we're focusing in on this line
01:51 Which by the way is more than a thousand miles long. There's also some thunderstorms. I want to highlight through, Mississippi and Alabama
01:58 Those have been damaging wind threats some hail producers, too
02:02 So, please keep in mind there is activity there, but it's not quite part of the line
02:06 Which means that we probably hopefully shouldn't see any tornadic threat with that
02:10 But stay alert with those warnings on your phone
02:13 Really one of the big biggest areas of activity has been Ohio the past couple of hours where we continue to watch some of these
02:20 thunderstorms move through and several of them are tornado warned.
