00:12 food review today. Now today it's going to be a chain that we're actually reviewing,
00:15 it's called German Doner Kebab and it's obviously quite famous, sprang up across quite a few
00:21 new locations lately over the last few years so we're going to go down, try it out, see
00:26 how it compares to some smaller independent kebab places and see what it's like, so yeah,
00:31 see you in a bit. Now I don't want to spook anyone but the sun has actually shown its
00:36 face for once in Preston so a nice little walk across the city now heading towards GDK
00:41 and check it all out so going to enjoy the nice weather, once a season will be the nice
00:46 weather for March and see what I can find.
01:00 So yeah, what better way to celebrate a bit of warm weather and a bit of sunshine on a
01:22 Monday than to head down to GDK and as you can see the restaurant itself is pretty new,
01:27 looks really nice, really clean, really slick, nice design, nice colours, everything was
01:32 very welcoming, plenty of tables, went for the OG kebab as you can see here with some
01:37 curry chips on the side and it just looked great, everything about it was quick and prompt
01:42 so yeah, time to dig in.
01:43 Hi guys I'm here in GDK and first impressions are really good, restaurant looks great, everything
01:51 is really tasty, portions look good, so let's dig in and try it.
01:58 Just going to bash up the chips first, looks really good, nice bit of sauce as well so

02:08 Really nice, I've gone for the curry fries which is something a bit different, got a
02:09 bit of a sprinkle of curry powder on top so that's a nice addition. Nice and spicy as
02:15 well, you'd have thought it would be a lot more mild than it is but it's got a bit of
02:18 a kick to it, lovely garlic sauce as well so that's a great addition, really nice.
02:23 Now given the size of this kebab I had no idea I was going to tackle it on camera one
02:28 handed so I managed to break a bit off, it's looking really good, nice and saucy, the salad
02:33 looks fresh, meat looks really nice, smells good, nearly ready to dig up.
02:42 Really really nice, the meat's great, really fresh, I've gone for a mix of beef and chicken
02:48 so really really nice. Looks great, tastes great, yeah, can't fault it.
02:54 And yeah just to finish off here's a bit of a close up of the kebab itself, everything
02:59 was fresh, chips on the side, meat was nicely seasoned, overall I'd give it a pretty good
03:04 rating, very satisfying, generous portions, pretty good.
