00:08 Malaysia, like many other nations, stands at a pivotal crossroad where the skills of our workforce have never been more vital.
00:19 The challenges of the 21st century demand a workforce that is adaptable, innovative,
00:25 and well-equipped to navigate the complexity of the modern world.
00:30 In this regard, we find common ground with Germany,
00:34 a country renowned for boasting one of the world's most successful vocational education programmes.

00:47 I am very lucky. In late October last year, I had the privilege of leading a delegation to Berlin, Germany,
00:55 alongside representatives of Mara and my ministry.
00:59 Our objective was clear – to glean insight and wisdom from Germany's experience,
01:05 to learn from the best practices that have elevated the German vocational programme to an international benchmark.
01:13 We sought to understand the intersections and practical approaches that have propelled Germany
01:20 into a global powerhouse of skilled labour and innovation.
01:25 Germany's vocational programme stands as a shining example of industrial-economic collaboration that is the best in the world.
01:36 They deserve to be given a big hand.
01:41 It is a model that has been proven to work, spearheaded by industrial leaders,
01:47 and enriched by an academic curriculum at all levels.
01:51 We see in your model a path to success, and we believe it is a path we must tread
01:59 if we are to secure a prosperous and sustainable future for our youth and our nation.
02:06 As I announced in Berlin, I would like to invite representatives from Germany
02:13 to sit on the main board of the Malaysian TVET Council.
02:26 I would like to invite the Excellency, the German Ambassador here, to choose the best among them to sit in the Council.
02:36 I am pleased to announce that today marks a very significant milestone.
02:41 With several MOUs set to be established, including the appointment of Industrial Advisory Council members,
02:50 these agreements signify the strengthening of business engagement between our two nations.
02:59 Furthermore, I am delighted to learn that many Malaysian multinational companies and MNCs
03:07 have expressed their interest in participating and contributing inputs and ideas to enhance the TVET blueprint.
03:17 Last but not least, I would like to thank all German companies in Malaysia.
03:23 You are not only transferring your knowledge to Malaysian youth,
03:28 but you are also transferring your technology to us in Malaysia. Thank you so much.
03:36 Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for an amazing collaboration.
03:43 Let's begin with the first company, Shiba Inu.
