00:04 At a glance, Amir Mohsin Mohamad Baharuddin
00:07 looks like any other person.
00:09 He can walk, talk, and work.
00:12 But he also suffers from traumatic brain injury,
00:16 or TBI, a condition he sustained after a particularly bad car
00:20 crash in 2018 that left him in a coma for six months.
00:26 Although he was told he might be bedridden for life,
00:29 Amir learned how to walk, talk, eat, and write again.
00:34 Today, this former mechanical engineer
00:37 runs a business of his own, selling sambal.
00:41 It is called Dapo Pak Amir.

01:15 Recalling the accident, Amir says
01:17 it occurred on the very day he returned to Malaysia
01:20 from Japan, where he worked.

01:33 Under the care of his wife, Amir
01:35 was able to walk again without support
01:37 two months after waking up.

01:52 During a recent visit to his home in Puncak Alam,
01:55 Amir showed FMT Lifestyle the big tent
01:58 at the back of his house, where he cooks the sambals he sells.
02:02 He says TBI has left him with very little sensation
02:06 on the right side of his body.
02:09 His movements are slower, too, and he walks with a slight limb.
02:14 Yet, Amir is grateful to be alive
02:17 and wishes to make something of himself
02:20 through his sambal business.
02:22 And that's exactly what he's achieved.
02:25 In February last year, he received the Icon Usahawan OKU
02:29 Slango Award under the Slango Youth Community's
02:32 Entrepreneurship Program.
02:34 Way to go.
02:36 Here's wishing Amir all the best in his business endeavors.
