00:00UMNO Youth has urged Pakatan Harapan leaders not to be too calculative over federal allocations to Johor,
00:08amid ongoing political exchanges following Barisan Nasional's decision to contest the state election on its own.
00:15The Wing Secretary-General, Hafiz Arifin, said the RM14.6 billion in federal funding cited by PH leaders
00:23included projects that had been announced but yet to be implemented, such as Hospital Sultana Aminah 2
00:30and the Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit System.
00:33He said announcing a project is not the same as having funds that have been channeled and spent on the
00:39ground.
00:40In a video posted on Facebook, he said nobody is denying the federal government's contributions,
00:46but warned against using federal development and expenditure in Johor as a political tool
00:52to create the perception that the state is overclaiming and ungrateful.
00:57Hafiz was responding to DAP Secretary-General Lok Siu Fouk,
01:01who had said at a PH convention in Johor that the state's recent development was largely driven by federal initiatives,
01:08rather than solely by the state government.
01:11The tit-for-tat exchange between BN and PH leaders began after Johor Menteri Besar on Hafiz Ghazi
01:17announced that the state PN would contest all 56 state seats in the upcoming polls.
