00:00 Now this is the first time there's ever been a cabinet in East Yorkshire and we are here to
00:05 demonstrate that we are spreading opportunity right across our country and that's why I'm also
00:11 delighted that today's the day we're announcing the latest part of our Network North plan which
00:15 Mark has been explaining this morning. That's £4.7 billion for a local transport fund that's
00:22 going to benefit millions of people across the north and the midlands. It really is levelling up
00:27 in action because this is a first of its kind fund that is going to provide long-term funding
00:33 certainty to smaller towns and rural areas across the north and the midlands, treating them for the
00:38 first ever time like big cities with substantial funding and long-term certainty. And crucially,
00:45 it won't be people in Whitehall making the decisions about how that money is invested,
00:49 it will be local people deciding what priorities they want to focus on. Whether you're from the
00:54 south or the north, country or coast, grow up in a village or town or a city, everyone in our
01:01 country shares a common set of values and they all essentially just want the opportunity to succeed
01:07 for themselves and our job is to make that possible for everybody. It's about a stronger economy,
01:14 world-class education, backing business and of course, yes, investing in infrastructure
01:20 and transport. And I genuinely believe that in spite of the tough time that we've had over the
01:27 past couple of years, that we have turned a corner and that the plan is now working. Of course we've
01:33 got further to go but if we stick to the plan, I know that we'll absolutely get there and deliver
01:39 a brighter future for everyone in our country. So with that, let's get to work.
