President William Ruto accompanied by his deputy and other leaders led the commissioning of the Ithanga Irrigation and Water Project in Murang'a County.

00:33 Phase one, phase two, and phase three is funded by the government of Kenya
00:39 and the Belgium Development Corporation under the Minister of Water.
00:43 And the total cost for this project is approximately 3.6 billion.
00:48 And the project scope is that we have river intake works along the river.
00:57 And we shall do a total of 423 kilometers of distribution pipeline within Idanga region.
01:04 Then from there we have the treated water distribution pipeline, which is about 40 kilometers
01:11 up to where we, the distribution pipeline takes the water and this is the location of,
01:19 this is the Idanga where we are.
01:21 And we've done various distributions to various elevated sections.
