Jonny Drury caught up with West Brom fans after their 2-0 win over Cardiff.
Albion were ahead after just 30 seconds as Mikey Johnston marks his debut with a goal - as he turned home Tom Fellows' cross.
Albion were then frustrated by a deep Cardiff side - but on the break Jed Wallace cross from Andi Weimann to wrap up the win late on.

00:00 Rich, early goal, we had to wait a long time for the second one, what did you make of it
00:11 tonight?
00:12 I think that we caught them by surprise to be fair and maybe in a different day if we
00:19 hadn't scored that first goal it might have been a bit tricky to start with but at the
00:23 end of the day we were much better than them and the quality shone through.
00:29 We should have brought Callum Marshall on a little bit earlier so we could have seen
00:32 a bit more of him but yeah all good really, couldn't ask for anything more.
00:37 Friday is the true test, you know Cardiff we expect to win them but yeah Friday a bit
00:43 different I think.
00:44 I missed the first goal, like I say first half was a bit slow, a bit sluggish but Shou
00:51 Dan classed the second half and you know that second goal we relaxed a bit after that.
00:58 Yeah I mean we came right out of the blocks which was refreshing to see because the disappointment
01:03 at Portman Road over the weekend against Ipswich was unlucky to only come away with a point
01:09 to be there but then it was Ipswich.
01:11 So to come right out of the blocks, I was actually almost late to the game so I would
01:16 have missed it so I'm glad I got here on time.
01:19 But yes, great play from Tom Fellows to get the ball across, Mikey Johnston finding himself
01:26 some space and yeah just one touch on corner, there's nothing more you can ask for from
01:32 a player like that to be honest.
01:34 We saw a first glimpse of Mikey Johnston from the start tonight, obviously made a real impact
01:38 right at the start with his goal but what did you make of it?
01:41 Yeah definitely, I thought bright things.
01:44 Obviously he came on against Birmingham, he had a little stint then and I expected more
01:52 then, obviously 90 seconds in or whatever, we had a good show from him but maybe I could
02:01 have expected a little bit more.
02:02 Went a bit quiet after that, didn't need to be fair but he was good to see, he was definitely
02:07 good to see.
02:08 Yeah similar play to Fellows really, you know, so all good, got some good substitutes.
02:16 I mean like when the first goal went in, I was almost in tears because that was actually
02:21 the earliest goal from the Albion I've seen this season.
02:26 And yeah to be honest, you know, if they can keep scoring like that, I know Vyman did what
02:32 he did against Ipswich which you know, he quickly went from hero scoring against Birmingham
02:40 to zero and then back to hero by scoring tonight so a little bit more of a hero Vyman than
02:50 a zero Vyman, please Andy.
02:52 And Andy Vyman, you know, two goals in two home games now, do you think, we're seeing
02:56 an impact from the January signs, do you think they could be the difference between now and
02:59 the end of the season?
03:00 Possibly, possibly.
03:01 I mean Andy Vyman for me let himself down massively last week when he did the 'hand
03:08 of Vyman' or whatever you want to call it.
03:10 But yeah, he redeemed himself a little bit but let's see, we needed that.
03:14 And for me, Asante, he's alright, he runs his legs off, spends too much time on the
03:20 floor, not taking it away from his effort but I don't think he's up to this level.
03:25 But yeah, Andy Vyman, I've heard it on Adrian Goldberg, Fox in the box, that's what we need,
03:32 somebody like Vyman to just take them opportunities when they've got them.
03:36 So let's see, let's see what happens.
03:37 Yeah and finally you said, you know, the importance of Friday night, Albion do kind of tend to
03:42 do okay against the bigger sides that come and Albion sit in defence.
03:46 So how do you see that one going?
03:48 Do you think Albion can get a win there?
03:50 I don't know.
03:51 I've got them down for a draw to be fair but if we can hold them back, if we can, if Carlos
04:00 does his thing, if we can keep it at a draw at least by half-time, Carlos will get the
04:06 measure of them and we'll probably maybe nick a winner in the second half.
04:10 But otherwise, I don't know, he can go either way.
04:13 Nervous, nervous but it's an important game.
04:16 If they can get a win there...
04:17 Yeah, I'm not far from him, I'm just naked by the odd goal.
04:21 Massive game, massive game.
04:22 I mean, Leicester, Southampton, Leeds as well, you know, they are the stronger teams.
04:30 We gave a good account of ourselves over the weekend but, you know, I mean, if we play
04:36 like we did tonight and then some, I don't see why we can't beat Southampton but, to
04:43 be honest, I will be more than happy with a draw considering, you know, it is Southampton,
04:49 one of the top three.
04:50 And I won't be able to come on Friday because it's my fiancé's birthday.
04:55 Yeah, he's going to have to miss it.
04:58 Good birthday present, Albion three points.
05:00 Absolutely, absolutely.
05:01 Yeah, but as I said, you know, I'd be happy with a point against Southampton, you know,
05:05 just to get something out of it.
