Glasgow headlines 12 February: Two arrested following flat fire

A man and woman have been arrested and charged following a flat fire in Coatbridge.

Emergency services were called to a property on Wilson Street to reports of a blaze on the evening of 10 February.

The fire service said no one was hurt from the incident.

Next up, part of the M8 motorway will close from 12 February for two weeks while essential resurfacing works is carried out.

This will take place eastbound at junctions 13 and 14, including the M80 slip road which means routes will face diversions.

And finally, the popular West End restaurant Five March will be opening a ‘mini’ location in the South Side in March.

Five at Phillies will open within Phillies of Shawlands, an already operational dining and drinking spot and run as a wee version of the original.

There will be a selection of new dishes as well as Five March classics.
