00:18 "Since the implementation of the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement in 1992,
00:24 Malaysia and the Philippines have been experiencing a continuous increase in bilateral trading.
00:31 In fact, the Philippines is the 15th largest trading partner and 15th largest exports destination of Malaysia.
00:39 And the trade and investment partnership between the two countries was strengthened and deepened
00:45 after the State Visit of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malaysia last year.
00:52 Because of this, the Embassy of Malaysia in the Philippines
00:56 has issued their full support for the strengthening of bilateral trading and relations between the Philippines and Malaysia."
01:03 "The Embassy of Malaysia, of course, has been working very hard to improve our trade relations, which is good.
01:09 But we feel, the Government of Malaysia, of course, feels there's a lot of opportunities we can explore in the Philippines.
01:15 Following the visit of both our leaders,
01:18 and I'm happy to say that we have an increased number of Malaysian companies coming to the Philippines in the past one year."
01:25 "One of the initiatives that the Embassy of Malaysia is doing
01:30 is to provide support to Malaysian companies and businesses that want to expand here in the Philippines.
01:36 One of these initiatives is their collaboration with a Malaysian-integrated online platform
01:43 for buying and selling used cars for a campaign they launched last year."

01:50 There are, however, some excess that we're looking into, which the Embassy has been very supportive of us,
01:56 like the ease of access that we're looking to do in doing business.

02:03 There's so much potential that I can build in the Philippines.
02:06 And right now, we're looking to see how we can expand our business even further.
02:10 And it really helps the business that we have such amazing partners that we have built in the Philippines.
02:16 I already have invited many of my friends to come over to the Philippines."
02:20 And just on January 30, the awarding ceremony was held for the winners of the campaign.
02:27 Some of the prizes that our fellow countrymen received were gift certificates, free hotel accommodation, and free travel to Malaysia.
02:36 That same day, Ambassador Dato' Abdul Malik announced their support for the promotion of tourism,
02:44 cultural collaboration, socio-economic development,
02:48 and the provision of more business opportunities and jobs in both countries.
02:53 They also supported the four-year plan for the development of the halal industry here in the Philippines.
03:00 "I'm very pleased to see the government of the Philippines working towards increasing, improving the ease of doing business here,
03:06 to opening up for more industries.
03:08 And I'm confident in the next year or so, the Philippine government will enjoy the fruits of more foreign participation."
