00:04 Not only will it build and sustain what we have and what we want to keep,

00:10 but it gives us the promise to go further and also attract new industry and new jobs to the region,

00:16 and that would be a great thing for the future.

00:19 Our communities, our jobs, our future!

00:24 That's right. And that's what we're all here for.

00:29 We did talk about this campaign in last year,

00:33 so we're looking at that with a number of organisations,

00:35 and sort of built from that first discussion.

00:38 What we realised is that we've got political opportunists trying to reclaim,

00:45 trying to distract, and trying to mislead our communities.

00:49 And we're very much aware of that today.

00:53 But what we know is that, as Mr Slayton said,

00:56 these are our communities, these will be our jobs, and this is our future.

01:01 By creating offshore wind off our coasts,

01:05 we are creating an entirely new industry right here in the Hunter.

01:09 It's an industry that has the potential to not only create thousands of jobs,

01:13 but also to ensure future employment opportunities for workers to transition

01:19 from our region's traditional energy sector into our new clean energy sector.

01:25 We think it's an absolute no-brainer,

01:28 and a win-win situation for our industries.

01:31 It's a win for jobs, and most importantly, it's a win for our environment.
