Rural town erupts as residents rally against WA's 'Great Southern Landfill'

York locals travelled to Perth to protest the approved Great Southern Landfill, arguing it threatened drinking water, bushfire safety and native habitat while relying on outdated waste technology.

00:33it's not even fixing it because it is going to poison the water from the people of birth.

00:37It's going to poison the general area.

00:40It's going to poison the farmland if it leaches out.

00:43It's going to damage us in so many ways.

00:45We will be fighting this every step of the way
