00:00Police brought an escalated response from day one.
00:03They've set this exclusion zone up.
00:05Nevertheless, they lost control of the channel
00:07within a matter of minutes after we took to the water.
00:10And that just shows that you can't police your way
00:13out of policy failures.
00:14The government should be telling us where the money is for coal workers
00:17rather than spending public dollars
00:19to try and stop peaceful protests from happening.
00:22This turnaround of the CEMTEX that's bouncing
00:26for more entire coal services.
00:27Is this a delay?
00:29Do you think you've turned it around for good?
00:31No.
00:32No.
00:33No.
00:34Business as usual by all accounts from the Port Authority.
00:36What kind of win is this going to be?
00:39The CEMTEX leader will come in
00:41and I'm sure it will be filled up with coal
00:43and I'm sure it will go out.
00:44We have disrupted it.
00:46And we are right to do so.
00:47Because when that coal ship goes out,
00:49that coal will pay royalties of 8-12%,
00:52which is far less than every single person
00:55pays on their income tax.
00:57We are demanding that those coal exports
00:59that go out of Newcastle are taxed at 78%
01:02to make sure that we can fund workers in the future
01:05since we know that the Port of Newcastle says
01:07the coal export market is going to collapse in the next 10 years.
01:10Where is the money?
01:11The royalties.
01:12What about the royalties?
01:13The royalties, yeah.
01:14The royalties.
01:15You're aware of them.
01:16You're aware about the coal.
01:17The money that comes down through export.
01:19Exactly.
01:20Where is it?
01:21It goes to parliament.
01:22It pays for welfare.
01:24That's what it does.
01:25Our 8-12% and in Norway they tax their coal 78%.
01:29It does fund the budget.
01:30It would fund the budget much, much more.
01:33That's why we are demanding an increase in coal royalties
01:35to make sure that our hunter workers are taken care of
01:38when the coal export market collapses.
01:40Thank you very much.
