How does our very own Spudley Street compare to Staffordshire's famous Spud Man?

Express & Star reporter - and part-time potato correspondent - Lauren Hill went to try Wolverhampton city centre's Spudley Street tatties, to see how they compare to the TikTok-famous Spud Man's.

00:24 So the Potato van is on Dudley Street and I can see from here the sign says

00:28 'Welcome to Spudley Street' so it looks like I'm in the right place.

00:31 Jacket potatoes, hot and cold fillings. Right, very excited for this.

00:38 I think that's the Potato van that I can see yonder so let's go and get another beans and cheese

00:42 because we've got to have a fair competition don't we? So we're gonna go

00:46 and meet the person behind the Spud. Let's go and have a look and see how it

01:45 So the only one thing that I've noticed so far is that Spudman put his

01:51 beans on top of the cheese so that's why it was also melted but the cheese is

01:56 doing a pretty good melting job here. So wait till you see this.

02:49 in here because obviously Spudman puts one and a half but if you just look at

02:53 the size of this potato, this is a huge, this is a huge potato. Look at that

03:00 absolute unit. It's a humongous potato. Potatoes are delicious but listen you

03:08 don't have to queue for two hours for one and if you live in Wolverhampton or

03:12 close by and you're desperate for a baked potato you should try Spudley

03:17 Street because the ladies are so friendly and you can tell that their

03:21 ingredients are fresh as well.
