Headlines for Manchester January 16: Snow has fallen in Manchester and predicted for more days this week, Oldham Council wants residents to have their say on plans & Chorlton Cross Shopping precinct to close after 50 years.

00:06 Snow has fallen in Manchester today on Tuesday 16th January after yellow snow and ice warnings
00:12 were put in place for large parts of the country.
00:15 Warnings are in place on January 16th, 17th and 18th for either snow and ice or just snow.
00:21 Oldham Council wants residents to have their say on plans for the district's future.
00:26 Once finalised, the plan will allow the community to guide the council's choices about housing,
00:31 the local economy and community facilities until 2039.
00:36 And finally Chorlton Cross Shopping Precinct is preparing to close down after 50 years
00:41 in the community.
00:42 The shopping centre and adjacent Graham House office building will be demolished ahead of
00:47 a complete overhaul including 200 new homes.
