00:00 One of the debates the club had when Pochettino was in charge and they were coming up was
00:05 whether winning a domestic cup would change the mentality of the squad and help them to
00:09 become winners. When you've won trophies in the past for other clubs, have you noticed
00:14 that that changes the group in any way?
00:17 I think it helps for people to experience that. But I mean, Cristian Romero is a World
00:27 Cup winner, he knows what it's like. So there's already people in the room who have kind of
00:32 had that experience and it does help. But also then you follow the track of the other
00:38 side of it, does that breed complacency now because they've got it? So then you kind of
00:42 flip it and you kind of, okay, I've got to get them to climb the mountain again. So there's
00:46 always challenges there. And I think a winner's mindset is more about coming in every day
00:52 and trying to be the best you can be in the context of where you are and try and be part
01:00 of something that's special. And that should never stop or accelerate because you haven't
01:07 achieved something or you do achieve something because there are equal pitfalls there. But
01:12 if the guys who do win things at least have a picture in their head of what it should
01:18 look like, what address it, because you can win in many different ways in terms of playing
01:23 styles and methodologies, but there are consistencies in winning teams around a real sort of team
01:31 first mindset about having a really strong culture, really strong training environment,
01:37 all those kinds of things. And until you experience it sometimes, it's hard for players to conceptualise.
01:44 But if they've been part of it, well, okay, they know that these things are constants
01:49 and that could be with this team or with another team that they've had success with.
01:53 You mentioned at the top that you think sometimes cup games can be freer and less constrained.
01:58 Do you think that might suit the way you play?
02:02 Potentially, I mean, it depends because then it also means the other team are the same
02:07 way. And like I said, they're kind of unique beasts in themselves, cup games. They take
02:14 on their own lives because, like I said, you know that, all right, I mean, there's obviously
02:19 replays in this round, but usually you know that in the game you need to win to progress.
02:26 So depending on the scoreline, you get to extremes of how do we hold on to this or how
02:32 do we turn this around? And teams, coaches tend to be a bit freer with their kind of
02:38 decision making in those processes. So, you know, they don't, I've always felt that they
02:45 are kind of unique in their own way as opposed to league games.
02:49 And just to put it round to Ivan Perisic, do you expect him to have more accuracy?
02:54 No, he's working hard to be fair to Ivan and he's obviously got some national team commitments
03:01 and he wants to get back as quickly as possible. And again, he's been a significant loss for
03:05 us. You know, he was, I thought this year he was going to be a real significant contributor
03:10 because of his experience. And we saw that in the first few games with the way he impacted
03:14 games. But yeah, no, he won't be unlikely to play for us again.
03:21 Thank you.
03:22 (laughing)
