00:10 in Pennsylvania's 10th District.
00:11 - Congressional candidate Shemaine Daniels
00:13 will be using an AI robo-caller to reach voters.
00:16 - This is an opportunity to really amplify
00:18 the number of people and the types of people
00:21 who participate in the campaign process.
00:24 - Ilya Muzhikansky is the CEO of Sivox,
00:26 the company that created this technology.
00:28 - We are able to have conversations
00:31 that are customized to the recipient,
00:34 and that's done on the fly.
00:37 And that allows for a more personal connection
00:41 and a more relevant voter contact for the campaign.
00:44 - But some, like Northeastern University
00:46 Associate Professor John Bazzill,
00:47 see a potential for problems.
00:49 - The kinds of technologies that are capable
00:51 of those conversational components
00:54 are not reliably saying the things
00:57 that sort of might be indicative
00:59 of what the policymaker or the person running
01:01 actually believes.
01:02 - Residents of Pennsylvania's 10th District
01:05 may soon be able to decide for themselves.
