Liverpool opens new library and art gallery in south-western Sydney

Liverpool in the Sydney's south west now has a brand new library and art gallery to match the region's stature. The new building is part of a $600 million project to revitalise the local economy.

00:28 and emerges as an economic powerhouse.

00:30 - The mayor has dedicated the new building

00:42 that's what every kid should be able to celebrate.

00:44 - This new library covers 5,000 square meters,

00:48 and has over two kilometers of bookshelves.

00:50 There's 85,000 items available to the public,

00:54 and it also offers free classes for children and adults.

01:07 So the library card will open up all sorts of opportunities.
