00:00 China has recently announced to implement a unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary
00:05 passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia on a trial
00:11 basis.
00:12 From December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024, holders of ordinary passports from the above
00:20 six countries may enter China visa-free for business, tourism, visiting relatives and
00:26 friends and transit for no more than 15 days.
00:30 The measure, aiming at promoting people-to-people exchanges and serving high-quality development
00:35 and high-level opening up, has been applauded by Europeans from various walks of life.
00:40 "I think it's a very good measure.
00:44 It simplifies things for short stays."
00:48 "It's very important for tourism, to encourage cultural exchanges, etc.
00:54 It's really positive."
00:56 "The different facets, between the city and the country, and in general the politics,
01:03 you can always convince yourself of that, also because they just said, because of the visa
01:09 requirement, that it has now been lifted."
01:11 "I would love to have a long trip, not just visit one or two cities, but maybe stay longer
01:18 in this way, you can see all the different cities and villages all around the country."
01:24 "China has always been a focus country.
01:28 It has always been one of the countries that has been present in our internationalization
01:33 plans, because we have considered it one of the countries with more potential, not just
01:38 because of the technologies that are already being developed in our country, but because
01:43 our companies have to be present in some way."
01:47 In short, China's visa-free policy is laudable and represents a significant step towards
01:54 global collaboration and understanding.
01:57 Such as an extension would not only benefit a lauded cohort of travelers, but also mark
02:04 a significant stride towards a more inclusive and cooperative international community.
