Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki has clarified that the frozen Aman Palestin funds can only be accessed after the investigation is over.

00:12 He was quoted by Sinar Harian on Friday as saying that the MACC is still investigating
00:18 the validity of the transactions and claims concerning the Aman Palestine funds.
00:23 He said the investigation should serve as an example to others as to how public funds
00:27 should be utilized.
00:29 Last month, MACC froze 41 bank accounts linked to the NGO involving some 15 million ringgit
00:35 amid its probe into the NGO over alleged "misappropriation of funds and money laundering activities."
00:42 MACC also seized documents, froze assets linked to the NGO and recorded statements from several
00:48 individuals from the NGO.
00:51 On November 27th, Aman Palestine said it was giving the MACC three days to unfreeze the
00:57 bank accounts or it will file a legal suit against MACC.
