00:23 Barrera has made dozens of posts about the war in recent weeks.
00:26 She wrote in one post on Instagram Stories,
00:28 "Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp.
00:31 Cornering everyone together with nowhere to go, no electricity, no water.
00:36 People have learned nothing from our histories.
00:38 And just like our histories, people are still silently watching it all happen.
00:41 This is genocide and ethnic cleansing."
00:43 A spokesperson for Spyglass, the company behind the Scream franchise, issued a statement that
00:47 read, "Spyglass's stance is unequivocally clear.
00:51 We have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including
00:55 false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion, or anything that flagrantly
01:00 crosses the line into hate speech."
01:02 THR has reached out to a rep for Barrera.
01:05 The actress starred as Sam Carpenter in the 2022 feature Scream, which helped revitalize
01:09 the franchise and earned $137.7 million globally.
01:14 She also starred in Scream 6, which was released in March of this year and made $168.9 million.
01:19 Filmmaker Christopher Landon is set to direct Scream 7.
