00:00 The four-day truce that was agreed upon will go into effect on Thursday.
00:06 Palestinian citizens are hopeful that this could be a new beginning.
00:10 Also the Palestinian Health Ministry updated figures of the wounded and missing.
00:15 Our correspondent from Gaza, Noor Harassin, gives us the details.
00:19 Now Palestinians are counting the hours until tomorrow's morning, Thursday morning, where
00:26 finally a truce agreement will get into action.
00:31 At least some of them will get some rest of the Israeli shelling and the continuous Israeli
00:36 attacks.
00:37 However, I can tell you that the people here on the ground are scared, because normally
00:42 the Israeli side intensifies its attacks on Gaza before the truce agreements.
00:49 And this has happened before in previous wars and escalations on Gaza.
00:55 So for now they are just waiting this night to pass away, where they can start a new beginning
01:01 tomorrow and enjoy four days of peace without any Israeli shelling or attacks over their
01:08 heads.
01:09 Now let's go to the latest numbers by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
01:14 According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the death toll here in Gaza over the past
01:18 seven weeks is 14,532 people killed and more than 35,000 people injured and more than 1.5
01:31 million people fled their homes.
01:34 At the same time, they said that 7,000 people were reported missing.
01:40 So looking at this number, 7,000 people are missing, still under rubble, and more than
01:44 14,000 people killed.
01:46 So actually we are looking at a number of more than 20,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza
01:55 over the past seven weeks.
01:57 And of course, we all know that the statistics showed that more than 70 percent of them are
02:04 women and children.
02:05 And this is what also we, journalists on the ground, saw.
02:08 We actually saw the majority of the people killed and the majority of people injured
02:14 was women and children.
