00:00 Well we are in Williamstown, this is where the headquarters for Victoria's Water Police,
00:06 the search and rescue operations is based from.
00:09 And in just the last hour, two police boats have returned here, boats who are believed
00:13 to have been on Port Phillip today at this crash site.
00:16 Earlier today police say that they have found a large part of the plane, the fuselage, which
00:21 went down in waters off Mornington on Sunday afternoon.
00:25 It was involved in a mid-air collision with another jet while performing formation flying
00:29 just before 2pm.
00:31 Believed to be on board were pilot and owner of the aircraft, Stephen Gale, and renowned
00:36 production cameraman James Rose.
00:38 It's believed that they were filming for an upcoming flying documentary at the time.
00:43 Now for this operation today it's understood divers will be sent down to the wreckage.
00:49 They did return a little earlier today and as I said this operation is still ongoing.
00:54 Police have indicated they'll attempt to bring the wreckage up before searching it over and
00:58 then it is expected to be brought back here to Williamstown for further investigation.
01:04 Right now there are two ongoing investigations of course, the Victoria Police investigation
01:09 and also the Australian Transport and Safety Bureau's investigation, which could take up
01:14 to two months.
01:16 They're all looking to determine what exactly has happened in the air above Port Phillip
01:20 on Sunday afternoon.
01:21 The police investigation, they are still calling for witnesses to come forward from the public.
01:27 They believe that these two aeroplanes may have been visible from Mount Martha on the
01:32 Mornington Peninsula between the hours of 1 and 2pm and anyone who was recording the
01:36 skies at that time or saw anything in the skies at that time, they're urging to come
