00:03 - I'm going to ask Joe a question,
00:04 it's a would you rather.
00:05 Is it this guy versus this team,
00:07 or that guy versus this team,
00:08 and Joe will tell us why.
00:09 So here we go, Joe, if you are ready.
00:11 Running back 24 today is James Cook.
00:14 He has the New York Jets.
00:16 Running back 25 is Ty Chandler.
00:19 We spent some time talking about him earlier in the show.
00:21 He is at Denver.
00:23 Start, sit, Cook, Chandler, go.
00:25 - All right, well, looking at James Cook,
00:28 I know he is higher up on the trough
00:30 in terms of the start,
00:31 but this is the great unknown now,
00:33 because now that Ken Dorsey's out
00:36 as offensive coordinator,
00:38 do we see more James Cook?
00:39 Do we see less James Cook?
00:40 I don't know, I don't think any of us know.
00:41 Whenever you're changing play callers,
00:43 it becomes a very different thing
00:44 that's very hard to gauge.
00:45 So both of them, I think, are safe starts this week.
00:48 So let me just say, you're in good shape here,
00:50 I think, starting these guys.
00:51 I think they both have RB2 potential.
00:53 The last game against Denver,
00:54 again, a team that gives up a lot of rushing yards.
00:56 He had 12 carries for 109 yards.
00:59 James Cook looked great, but the problem is,
01:01 that's the first 100-yard game he's had since week two.
01:04 If you look at the last three weeks before that,
01:06 20 yards, 67 yards, 56.
01:09 Now, he does work in the passing game a little bit,
01:10 but again, that's sporadic too,
01:11 so that's really difficult.
01:12 Ty Chandler, on the other hand,
01:14 is going to be in this position here
01:15 where he's going to have this backfield to himself.
01:18 But I think that if you're looking at the base
01:21 of what you saw last week
01:22 from Ty Chandler against New Orleans, 15 of 45,
01:26 he did have the touchdown there too,
01:27 so he finishes RB25 last week.
01:30 And now you're going to add a little bit more action
01:32 against that same Denver Broncos defense
01:35 that gave up so many rushing yards to James Cook.
01:39 Guess what?
01:40 I think I go right back to that well of Ty Chandler,
01:42 and I'm going to go,
01:43 and I'm going to troll the Denver Broncos here,
01:44 and give me Chandler over Cook.
01:46 I know that's not the popular choice,
01:48 but again, it's that unknown that concerns me,
01:50 and I want to give respect to the Jets' defense.
01:52 It is a very good unit.
01:54 Perhaps there are some struggles.
01:55 Again, we don't know what this offense looks like
01:58 in terms of the share now that Ken Dorsey's out.
02:01 So a lot to take in there,
02:02 but I think at the end of the day,
02:03 give me the clearer path against the weaker opponent.
02:06 I think that works a little bit better for me with Chandler.
02:08 I don't know if it's going to carry over
02:09 for another week or two,
02:11 but just for this week, if I need a win,
02:12 I think Chandler's the better source.
