00:02 But on the AFC side of things, the Chiefs are plus 220.
00:08 Then you get the Dolphins, Ravens, Bengals, Browns, Jaguars.
00:11 I mean, they're still putting the bills up there at 12-1.
00:13 Everybody else, 28-1.
00:15 - Yeah, I mean, the two I go, I zone right in on two teams,
00:18 you know, Cleveland, which you know,
00:20 I have to win the division, and Jacksonville still.
00:23 Now I know Jacksonville didn't play well
00:25 coming out of the bye week,
00:26 but the reason why I buy into both Cleveland
00:28 and Jacksonville respectively,
00:30 again, they're built similar to Detroit.
00:32 Run the football effectively,
00:34 opportunistic in terms of defense forcing turnovers.
00:38 And I just think they have a mentality
00:39 that some of the other teams don't have,
00:41 including my Miami Dolphins.
00:43 I can't buy into the Dolphins for two potential reasons.
00:46 One is to, and number two is on the road,
00:50 the Miami Dolphins failed to step up.
00:53 I mean, you could say what you want,
00:54 but Buffalo, you look at the Chiefs last week
00:57 in Philadelphia, three step up spots on the road.
01:00 They failed to live up to expectations.
01:03 Big picture for a playoff type of environment.
01:06 I can't buy into Miami because of my opinion,
01:08 they're not battle tested.
01:10 - Yeah, I mean, look, it is what it is.
01:13 And McDaniel even knows it.
01:15 The stigma is gonna be there with Miami, Joe,
01:17 till they win one of those games against better competition.
01:21 I, it's just, it's the facts of life at this point.
01:24 They've played three fair to decent teams this year
01:28 and they lost all three of them.
01:30 You know, the Eagles, the Bills and the Chiefs,
01:32 you know, that's just the way of life
01:35 that you have to look at it.
01:36 And that's it, Joe, they gotta prove it.
01:38 That's what it comes down to.
01:39 - They're a finesse team, Carver.
01:40 They're a finesse team.
01:41 They can beat teams like the Chargers
01:44 and they can beat teams like, you know,
01:45 the Patriots that are completely one dimensional
01:48 because the Patriots don't have any offensive firepower
01:51 to keep up and the Chargers are basically a glass house.
01:55 You punch them in the face and they crumble.
01:57 That's been, that has been the MO on the Brandon Stanley.
02:00 From a defensive perspective, they look great,
02:03 but until the game starts
02:04 and then once they get hit in the mouth,
02:06 it's like everybody has a plan, like Mike Tyson said,
02:09 until you get punched in the face,
02:11 they don't know how to respond.
02:12 So yeah, Miami can beat teams like that,
02:15 but going up against the likes of Kansas City
02:17 and the Philadelphia Eagles,
02:19 they don't know how to play with those teams
02:21 in the trenches and that's the problem.
02:23 - Yeah, and they really don't have any of those teams
02:26 they're gonna play at any point for the rest of the year.
02:29 They're in a stretch right now where, you know,
02:32 they're gonna be playing a bunch of really bad teams
02:35 the next few weeks.
02:35 Now they do finish, Joe, against some pretty good teams.
02:39 I know they play Baltimore, Dallas
02:42 towards the end of the year.
02:43 So they're gonna have some more opportunities
02:45 right before the playoffs to kind of move their stock up
02:49 and try to show they can win those football games.
02:51 But these next few weeks,
02:53 you're not gonna get much from them
02:55 in terms of seeing them move up in competition.
02:58 - Yeah, I would just say,
02:59 if the playoffs started today, let's just say,
03:02 and they were to square off against a team like Cincinnati
03:06 or a team like Cleveland,
03:07 I think they'd lose both of those ballgames.
03:09 I would have no confidence in them stepping up
03:12 in terms of those particular spots.
03:15 (upbeat music)
03:17 (bells chiming)
