00:00 In Palestine, health authorities warned that the few hospitals still operating could close
00:15 in the next 48 hours due to the lack of resources.
00:21 In the Netherlands, the International Court of Justice began the hearing requested by
00:24 Guyana to debate the suspension or not of Venezuela's consultative referendum on the
00:28 exequivo. The Venezuelan vice president described Guyana's request as "unprecedented" and
00:33 lacking "any legal basis".
00:40 And in Mexico, members of the LGBTQ+ community marched for the death of magistrate JesĂşs
00:45 Ossiete Baena.
00:50 Hello and welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Aderezo Studios in Havana,
00:55 Cuba. We begin with the news.
01:15 In Palestine, health authorities warned that the few hospitals still open could close in
01:19 the next 48 hours due to the lack of fuel because of the Israeli siege. According to
01:23 the latest information, medical centers in the north of the Strip have already stopped
01:28 working, including Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals, the two largest in the territory. Also, the
01:32 Palestinian Red Crescent announced on Tuesday that the only power generator at Al-Amal Hospital,
01:37 located in the southern city of Can Yunis, was shut down, preventing medical personnel
01:41 from continuing to treat patients. To date, more than 20 of the 35 hospitals in the Strip
01:47 have been shut down since the beginning of the attacks on October 7. More than 11,000
01:52 have been killed in the ongoing Israeli shelling of Gaza.
02:00 The World Health Organization on Tuesday insisted that moving the most vulnerable patients from
02:04 Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza is an impossible task, adding that health facilities should
02:08 never be in the line of fire.
02:13 The reason we said that people can't be evacuated is, first of all, as I mentioned in my earlier
02:20 answer, the people in the hospitals were very vulnerable, very sick, so moving them was
02:28 an impossible task. And you are asking doctors and nurses to move people, knowing that that
02:34 would kill them. And again, why would you need to move them? A hospital should never
02:41 be under attack. A hospital is a place, a safe haven. This is agreed under international
02:48 humanitarian law.
02:50 More than 100 Palestinians killed by Israel were buried in a makeshift grave in the Al-Shifa
02:56 compound in the city of Gaza due to the difficulty to bury them. Medical and administrative teams,
03:02 with the help of several Palestinian refugees, dug a mass grave in the corner of the Al-Shifa
03:06 compound to bury at least 170 of the bodies of Palestinians killed during the siege and
03:11 bombardment by the Israeli occupation forces. According to the health authorities, this
03:15 measure was implemented due to the level of decomposition of the corpses, which had already
03:20 been mutilated by stray dogs. They also stated that at Al-Amal Hospital in Kanjounis, more
03:25 than 90 patients are at risk of death due to the fact that the only power generator
03:29 stopped working on Tuesday.
03:36 On Tuesday, local media in Palestine highlighted that due to the fuel shortages, cab drivers
03:41 in the Gaza Strip are forced to use vegetable oil to fill their tanks so they can continue
03:46 working.
03:47 The cars are using vegetable oil, and our cars at the end of this period of war. We
03:54 need a new engine or pump reparations. And this would cost between 4,000 and 5,000 shekels.
04:00 And this is a burden, but we have no choice, as we are taxi drivers, and we need to earn
04:05 money for our children. We suffer from the smoke blowing from the vegetable oil. People
04:10 are also suffering from the lack of places to stay. As you know, Rafa is a small city.
04:15 Most of the people are living on the roads. The price of renting is expensive.
04:20 On Monday, Israeli forces attacked a convoy of journalists passing through southern Lebanon.
04:25 Local media in Lebanon reported that the Israeli occupation army bombed a convoy of vehicles
04:28 traveling in the city of Yaroun. The attack left several vehicles burned, and Al Jazeera
04:33 News Network reported that one of its photographers, Issam Mawassi, was injured in the attack.
04:41 In the meantime, the Palestinian authorities denounced that media workers have been permanently
04:46 targeted by the Israeli occupation forces, with a total of 51 journalists killed by Israel
04:51 in the Gaza Strip.
04:56 The director of Al Mayadeen also indicated that the decision to silence the media was
05:01 a political decision taken by Israel to confront the influence of the news platform in Palestine
05:06 and the Middle East.
05:07 The decision to ban Al Mayadeen was not a decision taken in a natural way. It was not
05:16 through a statement by the Ministry of Telecommunications or through the media or anything like that.
05:21 Imagine that the cabinet, which represents the highest authority to take political, security
05:25 and military decisions, meets urgently for decisions related to national security.
05:36 All this great team met, and one of the points of discussion was the Al Mayadeen chain. Of
05:41 course, it was a heavy and big file, almost approved. It was like the campaigns of incitement,
05:46 distortion, defamation and threats, the same way our colleague Sanaa was threatened and
05:52 intimidated. In addition to these direct threats against us, this is the first time I say this,
05:57 we have received threatening messages related to the urgent need to silence the voice of
06:02 Al Mayadeen, which was present from the first moments of the Israeli aggression to Gaza,
06:12 which was firm in facing the occupation. So this Israeli decision was not a media decision.
06:18 It was a political and security decision by excellence. They are confronting Al Mayadeen
06:22 not only as a telecommunication channel, it has become an influential and strong channel
06:27 in the heart of the Palestinian people. They are aware and know very well that the numbers
06:31 show the level of credibility and influence inside occupied Palestine, in Gaza, in the
06:36 West Bank and also within the Palestinian diaspora.
06:43 In this regard, Gaza and Ben Jadot denounced that Israel had started a war against free
06:47 voices that tried to show the brutality of the genocide perpetrated by Tel Aviv against
06:51 the Palestinian people.
06:56 They are hysterical and disturbed facing the media in general and everyone who talks about
07:01 what is happening, about the crimes either in Gaza or the West Bank or within the borders
07:05 of 1948. But especially Al Mayadeen was bothering them, so they had to take the decision to
07:11 shut us up. But the strangest thing is that it is not only a decision of the Palestinian
07:18 entity. What it means is that Israel will enter with its security forces into that area,
07:26 to the West Bank. It will also close our offices and confiscate our cameras and equipment.
07:31 It is a war. We consider it a war decision. We will continue to do our work without rest,
07:37 without delay and without backing down because we consider that now the situation does not
07:41 require at this time to file lawsuits and contact international organizations. We will
07:47 do it to safeguard our rights and to certify the crimes committed by the invader. But at
07:52 the same time this is not a priority now.
07:59 We will go to a battle of public opinion based on the fact that Al Mayadeen, with what it
08:04 represents not only as a channel but as a project and a vision, represents this big
08:09 and fighting media community of which Tel Azure, by the way, is a big part. That is
08:14 what we want to say, that Israel wants to persecute the free voices, the free words,
08:18 wherever they are. And that is why we are confronting Israel in the occupied lands and
08:23 wherever it is.
08:27 In the Philippines, more than a hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators were repressed by police officers
08:31 in front of the U.S. Embassy in Manila. On Tuesday, hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists
08:36 took to the streets carrying placards and banners in support of the Palestinian people.
08:40 Police used riot shields to try to stop the march heading towards the U.S. Embassy in
08:45 the Philippines but were outnumbered by nearly 200 protesters.
08:49 As of last Friday, more than 11,000 Palestinians, two-thirds of them women and children, had
08:54 been killed. And like other countries, the Philippines are calling for an end to this
08:59 genocide.
09:05 Israel is being financed by the United States. The bombs that are dropped come from the United
09:10 States. The bullets used against the Palestinians are from the United States. The drones used
09:16 come from the United States. That country bears overwhelming responsibility for the
09:20 humanitarian catastrophe that is now occurring in Gaza. The United States has not called
09:25 for any kind of meaningful ceasefire that would prevent the carnage we are seeing.

09:50 Welcome back from the south. On Monday, President Luis Inácio Gazza Silva received a plane
10:06 with 32 Brazilians and their relatives rescued from the Gaza Strip. The group, made up of
10:10 22 Brazilians, 7 Palestinians residing in Brazil and three his relatives, managed to
10:15 leave Gaza after several frustrated attempts since the beginning of the conflict between
10:18 Israel and Palestine. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, indicated in a press
10:23 conference in Brasilia that two people from the group, who were on the original list of
10:27 34 names for personal reasons, renounced the repatriation and decided to remain in Gaza.
10:34 New arrivals recounted in person their experiences on their Israeli siege.
10:45 What's happening there is a massacre. It's very difficult for you to understand what
10:49 we are going through there. Bombardments dropped everywhere. My daughters were shocked, very
10:54 sad. The first two weeks we lied to them by saying bombings were fireworks from birthday
10:59 parties, but we couldn't lie to them for much longer.
11:03 For his part, the Brazilian president denounced the inhuman violence suffered by the civilian
11:07 population and the terrorism perpetrated by both Hamas and Israel.
11:13 I'm 28 years old. I've seen a lot of brutality and violence. I've seen a lot of irrationality,
11:18 but I have never seen such brutal and inhuman violence against innocents. Because if Hamas
11:23 committed a terrorist act and did what it did, the state of Israel is also committing
11:28 several terrorist acts by not considering that children are not at war.
11:34 This Tuesday, the International Court of Justice began the hearing requested by Guyana to debate
11:38 the suspension or not of Venezuela's consultative referendum on the sovereignty of the Ezequiel
11:43 territory. Venezuelan Vice President Dele ZĂ© RodrĂguez emphasized that her attendance
11:48 at the court is to defeat the pretensions of Guyana's judicial colonialism by using
11:52 this court to stop the unstoppable. RodrĂguez added that Guyana intends to manipulate the
11:57 court to stop the referendum, which is sovereign, failing to report their actions with the Southern
12:02 Command and their military exercises. The vice president said Guyana's request for
12:06 provision of measures to stop the consultative referendum has no legal basis. Venezuela's
12:11 delegation will appear on Wednesday to defend the holding of the consultative referendum
12:16 on the Ezequiel.
12:20 Guyana never stops to amaze us. We are really very astonished because not only are there
12:28 hairs of a territory that the United Kingdom stole from Venezuela, but also they inherited
12:34 the adylline of imperialist and colonialist arrogance. They have asked the court in a
12:39 kind of implementation of judicial colonialism, they want to turn the court into the instrument
12:45 that will stop the consultative referendum of December 3rd. They have asked the court
12:50 that the Venezuelan people should not vote, which is absolutely unprecedented, extraordinary,
12:56 astonishing, barbaric, to ask to come here to interfere in the internal affairs of Venezuela,
13:02 of its internal constitutional order. Well, atrocities like that we had to listen to,
13:08 but we have also heard how they have lied, how they have manipulated those beautiful
13:14 rallies that our national Bolivarian armed force is doing together with the people on
13:20 the streets, in their neighborhoods, in the towns, in the cities. For them it is a threat
13:26 when our national Bolivarian armed force constitution in hand is calling on our people to participate
13:33 in the consultative referendum. What Guyana's government doesn't say because we are aware
13:41 of their fake victimized role of those having plundered and robbed the territory of Venezuela,
13:48 and now they are robbing the maritime territory, which is pending to be delimited, what they
13:53 didn't say or mention are the joint military exercises between the U.S. Southern Command
14:00 and the Guyanese military forces. They didn't say anything about it, they didn't mention
14:05 it, and how their bombastic statements along with the Southern Command and the Pentagon
14:11 threaten and attack Venezuela. Nothing new, we already knew everything. They request,
14:19 they insist on stopping the consultative referendum on December 3rd. Tomorrow Venezuela will let
14:25 crystal clear the stance of our people, of our nation on December 3rd. All Venezuelans
14:31 will cast their votes because it is an essential matter to defend our rights on the Guyana
14:36 Ezequiel.
14:37 The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, held a meeting with the diplomatic corps and
14:43 the group of friends created abroad in order to ratify Venezuelan historical rights over
14:47 the territory of the Eastern Guyana Ezequiel. The words of the Venezuelan head of state
14:52 were transmitted via videoconference to the representative of the Latin American nation
14:56 and the group of friends. During his speech, the head of state urged the diplomats to take
15:00 the truth of Venezuela about the Ezequiel to the nations and peoples of the world in
15:04 all languages. The President assured that Venezuela must wage a historic battle in the
15:09 face of the dispossession of the Ezequiel territory claimed by the British Empire.
15:14 The plundering of the United Kingdom that pretended over our territory. As you know,
15:31 our country has lived through several stages, very important, all of them. Before the existence
15:46 of a republic, we practically had over 300 years of colonialism in our America, in our
16:08 Latin America.
16:09 The President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, denounced the intentions of the
16:14 government of Guyana to attack the territorial integrity of Venezuela.
16:20 The pretension that has existed historically since the birth of the most brutal empire
16:24 that the history of humanity has known, the North American Empire, to attack the territorial
16:29 integrity of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, just as in 1899 a supposed tribunal composed
16:36 of foreigners, where Venezuela didn't have any type of representation, where they agreed
16:43 and committed a tremendous fraud that was later completely unveiled. At this moment,
16:49 the so-called International Court of Justice is trying to commit a nonsense of incalculable
16:55 perversions.
16:59 Members of the LGBTQ+ community march in Mexico City for the death of Magistrate JesĂşs Ociel
17:03 Baena, who appeared lifeless this Monday in Aguascaliente. Initially, protesters gathered
17:08 at the Capitol to remember the renowned non-binary gender jurist, then at the Plaza Nueva La
17:13 Escala in Saltillo, family members held a vigil in his name and to demand the clarification
17:18 of the case. Similarly, in the main square of Aguascalientes, where Ociel Baena was in
17:23 office, members of the LGBTQ+ community, among other members of civil society, held a rally
17:29 to remember him and denounce the recent death threats suffered by the magistrate.
17:34 As people of sexual diversity, we are heirs of the struggle that Ociel has just inherited
17:42 from us. We must not pass his death in vain and we must continue with the legacy he left

18:28 Welcome back to the South. European Union defence ministers met in Belgium to discuss
18:32 conditions for military aid to Ukraine. The meeting comes after the United States reported
18:36 that 96% of the resources previously granted to the Kiev regime have already been used.
18:41 In statements to the press, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius admitted they would
18:45 not be able to meet their goal of supplying one million projectiles and missiles to Ukraine
18:49 by March next year. In view of the situation, the High Representative of the European Union
18:54 for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, asked to give priority to Kiev in military industry
18:58 contracts to help it in its conflict with Moscow.
19:02 More than 100 rescuers are working for the third consecutive day to try to save 40 workers
19:10 trapped on the ground in northern India who are still alive after a tunnel collapse under
19:14 construction. The accident occurred early Sunday morning in a 4.5 km long tunnel under
19:20 construction in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. Excavators began removing debris from the
19:27 site on Sunday so that another tunnel could be drilled to rescue the workers. Rescue teams
19:31 are pumping oxygen and also sending workers small rations, such as dried fruit, to feed
19:36 them. The public infrastructure and highways company indicated it is installing 90 cm diameter
19:42 aluminum cylinders so that workers can use them as an evacuation route.
19:51 Local media in Indonesia reported on Tuesday that about 200 refugees from Myanmar have
19:55 disembarked in the western province of Ase. Local Navy Commander Andy Sulsanto confirmed
20:01 the arrival of the crew from Myanmar and noted that some of them immediately fled inland.
20:06 In the sense, the local authorities added that the Myanmarans are part of the Muslim,
20:11 Rohingya and ethnic minority group and stressed that among them there are many women and children.
20:17 Thousands of refugees from the Rohingya group risk their lives each year on long and costly
20:22 journeys by sea, often in flimsy boats, to try to reach Malaysia or Indonesia. For more
20:28 than 2,000 Rohingya are believed to have attempted the risky journey to Southeast Asian countries
20:33 in 2022, according to the UN Refugee Agency. Nearly 200 Rohingya died or went missing last
20:39 year while attempting hazardous sea crossings, the agency estimated.
