Three children among five people who died in house fire near school and Brentford training ground

Five people have died in a house fire in west London and one person remains "unaccounted for".  Met Police detectives and London Fire Brigade are investigating the cause of the fire in Hounslow.

00:05 fire here in West London and another person remains unaccounted for according to emergency

00:12 services. Around 70 firefighters and 10 engines were called to a house fire here in Hounslow

00:19 on Channel Close on Sunday night, November 12th. The London Fire Brigade says one man

00:24 left the property before the brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance

00:29 Service crews. London Fire Commissioner Andy Rowe said that this is a terribly sad incident

00:36 and the thoughts of everybody at the London Fire Brigade are with the family, friends

00:40 and all of those affected at this difficult time. The ground floor and first floors of

00:46 the mid-terraced house were destroyed and part of the roof was also damaged. The brigade

00:51 was called at 10.26pm and the fire was under control by 1.25am. Fire crews from Southall,

00:58 Twickenham, Hayes, Feltham and surrounding fire stations attended. Nearby properties

01:03 were evacuated as a precaution. The Met Police has said the five people have died are thought

01:09 to be members of the same family. The force said in a statement, "Enquiries into the

01:13 cause of the fire are ongoing. At this early stage in the investigation there have been

01:18 no arrests. Anyone with any information has been asked to call the police on 101 and give

01:24 reference 6845 12th November."
