We show you a quick clip of some recent fender trimming we did on our Samurai.
Transcript
00:00 Alright, so now just a quick video on how I trimmed the fender here just a touch just
00:05 to get a few more inches of tire clearance for these tall skinny 35s.
00:11 There's a false wall here and a pinch well that runs along the edge of the wheel well.
00:18 So I cut it off and then I carefully cut in this way and then cut in this way and I was
00:28 able to pound pieces of metal out and tack weld them into place.
00:37 So they went from being like this up to here and there's still a couple little holes but
00:46 they're nothing big, some seam sealer would fill that up.
00:52 And the end result is kind of a little bit more of like an open fender like a Jeep look.
00:58 Not sure if I'm totally in love with it.
01:00 I might follow this line around.
01:02 It can only go so far because of the rest of the pinch welds but I think I can make
01:10 it look pretty good.
01:12 And I've yet to do the other side.
01:14 If you come over here it's going to be into the sun so it might be hard to see.
01:18 But I haven't done it yet but here you can see the pinch weld.
01:24 There's a spot weld and where I trimmed up here inside this false wall along the Samurai.
01:37 Got my doggies out here.
01:47 Having fun getting started this morning.
01:49 Whoa, what happened?
01:52 Whoa.
01:54 Silly dog.
